Volunteering at Homewood

An integral part of Homewood's mental health and addiction programs and services

Homewood Health Centre Guelph volunteers enrich the lives of our patients and Homewood Health Centre’s community in many ways. From assisting in our programs to volunteering in our Main Street Square Café and Gift Shop, our volunteers are a vital part of our operations.

Who can volunteer?

Homewood welcomes members of the community 16 years of age and older who are enthusiastic and are interested in giving some time each week. We are fortunate to have volunteers from high school students to seniors.

How much time should you give?

Volunteers are asked to give 2 to 3 ½ hours a week for a minimum of 3 to 4 months. Volunteer shifts are weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Volunteers assist in the following areas

Creative Arts; Community Addiction Services; Main Street Square Café; Eating Disorder Program Mealtime supervision; Gift Shop; Homewood Volunteer Association Board; Horticultural Therapy; Library; Older Adults – Activities; One-to-one Activities with Trillium 2 patients; Peer Support; Recreation; Yoga Instruction

Please note we currently do not have volunteer openings in all areas listed above.
